I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and it's been working fine. A lot of updates since the purchase but nothing bad has happened yet. Today the Google Play notified me that a lot of my apps needed updating and always ignore them since they update automatically anyway. Well in the middle of them updating one by one, my phone suddenly restarted itself. It didn't say there was an update ready because I would have postponed it until I slept. Even one game I play multiple times a day was deleted and I had to reinstall only after I wanted to play it and saw that was gone. Later that night, I even noticed ALL my music that wasn't on my internal sd was gone too! only some clips I created and half a downloaded album stayed but the rest I can't find. Why did this happen and is there an easy way to recover what I lost without searching for each song again? A day or two before, I did some manual cleaning and cleared a lot of cache from my phone but I still had plenty of space so it's not like I was running out.
